Step 1. Set Your Cancer Type

To get the most out of the CancerAid app you will need to setup and complete your Profile. The first step is entering in your Cancer Type.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We recommend setting up your profile in conjunction with your clinician or doctor so you have all the accurate information you need.

1. If you are not already on the Profile home screen, select the Person icon on the bottom menu to begin. Then tap the ‘Type’ row, or select the ‘+Add my Cancer Type’ at the top of the screen, to get started.
2. Next, find your diagnosed Cancer Type, either by using the search field or by scrolling. Once found tap to select.
3. Once selected, you can view further details or information about your Cancer Type. To open any of the information categories simply tap to show more.

4. Press ‘Set as my Cancer Type’ to lock in your Cancer Type selection.
5. Now your Cancer type has been set and your selection will show at the top of your profile home page.

Step 2. Define your Cancer Site

The next step in setting up your CancerAid profile is to enter your Cancer Site, this is where you document where your cancer is located.

1. On the profile home screen, tap the ‘Site’ row to select.
2. You can add text or upload images of your medical records to record your Cancer Site information.
3. To add a written description, simply tap into the text box to activate the cursor and keyboard. Once completed swipe the keyboard to close.

4. Or, to add a photo or document, select the ‘See All Gallery Photos’ button at the bottom of the screen.
5. Once you have added a photo or document, you can add more or view your saved images at any time in your Site Gallery.

Step 3. Complete your Cancer Diagnosis information

The third step in setting up your CancerAid profile is to enter your Cancer Diagnosis information. This is where you document when you were diagnosed and keep track of key diagnostic documents and information.

1. On the profile home screen, tap the ‘Diagnosis’ row to select.
2. You can add text or upload images of your medical records to record your Cancer Diagnosis information.
3. First input the date you were diagnosed by tapping on the ‘Select a date’ field. Scroll to find the right date and once selected, hit ‘Done’ to save.

4. To add a written description, simply tap into the text box to activate the cursor and keyboard. Once completed swipe keyboard to close.
5. To add a photo or document, select the ‘See All Gallery Photos’ button at the bottom of the screen.
6. Once you have added a photo or document, you can add more or view your saved images at any time in your Diagnosis Gallery.

Step 4. Record your Cancer Pathology

Next you want to enter your Cancer Pathology details, this is where you document your pathology reports, imaging findings and laboratory tests.

1. On the profile home screen, tap the ‘Pathology’ row to select.
2. You can add text or upload images of your medical results to record your Cancer Pathology information.
3. To add a written description, simply tap into the text box to activate the cursor and keyboard. Once completed swipe keyboard to close.

4. Or to add a photo or document, relating to your Pathology, select the ‘See All Gallery Photos’ button at the bottom of the screen.
5. Once you have added a photo, or document, you can add more or view your saved images at any time in your Pathology Gallery.

Step 5. Define your Cancer Stage

The final step in setting up your CancerAid profile is to add your Cancer Stage information, this is where you document the specific details of your Cancer.

1. On the profile home screen, tap the ‘Stage’ row to select.
2. To start adding your Stage details, simply select ‘Edit’ in the top right.
3. Then select the first category which is relevant to your diagnosis by tapping the row.

4. This displays a list of specific diagnostic terms, to nominate which terms match your Cancer check the circles by tapping on them.
5. Once completed, you can view a summary page showing your Cancer Stage information. To add more Stage details select ‘Edit’ to repeat the process. You can add as many as are relevant to your diagnosis.
